The Maverick County VITA Coalition in partnership with the Internal Revenue Service(IRS) was formed to help prepare free federal income tax returns for low to moderate income families in Maverick County.  |
In this past tax filing season (FY2011),the Maverick County VITA Coalition helped prepare 975 income tax returns and brought in $1.8 million dollars in total refunds to the Eagle Pass Community. The Coalition also saved Maverick County taxpayers over $200,000 in tax preparation fees. |
